The Red Beach at Akrotiri is a unque place to swim or sunbathe. Red cliffs rise almost vertically from the sea making a majestic backdrop.
Limited refreshments are available on the beach, which can only be reached on foot by making the climb around the headland from the nearby parking.
Fantastic views and stunning rocks - not to be missed! (but do remember - most of the thin strip of sand forming the beach here is located underneath the overhanging cliff of red volcanic rock, not the best place to be if the island starts to shake again....
